They had to start with one foot in the smaller circle. I'm guessing it was deemed to be unnecessary. I don't think it has any bearing on this discussion.

I know that we're both on opposite sides of the jump ball issue. I hate jump balls and love the alternating possession arrow, you love jump balls and hate the alternating possession arrow.

For One Jump Ball A Game Is It Worth Memorizing The Rules And Restrictions ???
