Not sure how the ref didn't see that. It looked like he was looking right at it. Then again, I know there are times it looks like I am looking right at a play when I am looking through it and not seeing what is right in front of me (one of the areas I am working on). It also looks like the official flinches a little when it happens.

The really interesting thing to me is the pool stmt made by Mauer - https://twitter.com/TimBontemps/stat...218944/photo/1 - specifically "It's a play we have never seen before, ever". I am wondering if that official held the whistle because he wasn't sure/trust what he saw and was processing it.
