2) ?? Not understanding your answer..how would a player rise to his knees, from laying on stomach, and have a pivot foot?
I can't seem to find a case ruling for specifically when a player lays on stomach with ball, even though I've always thought the only thing one could do would be: pass, start dribble, call time out.
