Seems like you're blaming the table for a game you should have controlled. Just an observation, I wasn't there and may have had the same issues.

I've had some fairly worthless tables, but I still consider them part of my team. If anyone gives them attitude I'll step in instantly and make sure everything is directed at me. During summer ball or lower level leagues a good table just isn't going to be a sure thing. I'm of the mindset that no one messes with the table. Moment anything gets out of hand I'll talk to both coaches and if they don't control stuff I will.

I have thrown a couple tables out, but I don't tolerate the table complaining about foul counts and such for their team. You're on my team or you can leave.

I wouldn't preemptively replace the scorer unless there is a real problem. I've had problems with adults and officials doing the books than kids but I've never had to redisgnate an official book, at least not in basketball.

First of all I was there observing and not officiating. Secondly, the officials tried their best to work with them but they were just awful. Nothing could of been done but get new ones.

I have labels and generals directions in my bag for table personnel, haha. Only thing that drives me crazy is when they forget to stop/start the clock 50% of the time.

Agree. One possible exception may be when the official scorer offers that he, or she, is new at the table, and accepts my recommendation that the more experienced visitor scorer be the official scorer, and the home scorer observes to learn.
