In the little league game today, there were two runners on base R2 and R3. A base hit was made allowing R3 to score safely and R2 to "score" but not touching home plate. Noticing this, the opposing side parents yelled at their coaches that R2 did not touch home plate. At this, the opposing team's coaches yelled at the offical the situation. Not knowing their rules, the coaches kept yelling and the offical walked over to their dugout and told them to Appeal the play.

I quickly objected and said that the umpire cannot tell the other team what to do but merely ask them what do they want to do. Unfortuneately I was ejected from the game for objecting what the umpire did.

Is this right? Can an umpire give advice or tell the team what to do in this situation? And should I have been ejected?
