Minnesota has been experimenting this year with moving the on-deck batter so that he's always in the on-deck circle behind the batter as a safety issue (under the theory that the on-deck batter is less likely to be hit by a foul ball).
I have no idea if it will stick or not... since it's a "safety" issue, my guess is that it will. |
