I would have preferred him in the Indians' dugout. Manny Acta? Really? I imagine they didn't want to pay Valentine. Well, we got what we paid for.

If you subscribe to SIRIUS radio, Manny Acta was a regular guest on Mad Dog Unleased (Chris Russo formerly of Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN in NY) during the play-offs. IMO, he was a good analyst and if things do not work out with the Indians Acta could have a good career at ESPN.

Maybe because Joe Buck and Tim McCarver did such a great job in the post season this year they're going to to get the Sunday night baseball gig.

I read that it will be Dan Shulman as play by play and Orel Hershiser in the booth and possibly Bobby V.

I don't know Shulman, but I can't imagine he'd be worse than Miller.

Dan Shulman did the Sunday night radio broadcasts for ESPN, among other duties. He's always seemed a quite capable play-by-play man. Good riddance to Joe Morgan, who suffers from invincible ignorance.

I dunno: I think it's blameworthy.

No more Morgan?

There is only 1 that makes me puke, and that is "Know it all, done it all and seen it all" McCarver. Buck is OK at best, but one would thing the networks could do better than these two???

And the guys that replace them will not be much better. Not sure why folks get all up in arms over who calls the game anyway. I do not think there is much they can do for baseball anyway. There is a lot of idol time and not much the announcers can do to make the game more exciting the way the game is played today.

Peace
