IFF BU Signal Question

I was taught that the umpire who has catch/no catch should be the one who signals IFF first. The other ump echoes the IFF.

In this case, it's up to the BU. So if the BU rules that it's not an IFF, then the PU would have nothing to echo. No signal needed.

I tend to agree.

However, if the BU forgets that it's IFF and it's obvious to PU that it's going to be caught with ordinary effort, I see no problem with PU calling it.
