DST advice from Tim

"If you don't set your clock back tomorrow you will be late for the 8:00 Game tomorrow". Or something like that. Bit my tongue about earlier postulations from Tim but couldn't help myself this time.

I forgot to set my clocks last night. I woke up to get ready for my games at what i thought was 6:00. As I started to tote my gear bags to the car, I opened the front door and it was still dark. At this point, the "sucker" cartoon balloon appeared above my head and I realized I had cheated myself out of an extra hour of sleep. Now I have an extra hour to kill.

I actually set my clocks AHEAD and then realized that wasn't right, so I had to set them all back TWO hours - I really enjoyed that TWO extra hours of sleep!

Thirty years ago, just before a flag football game was to begin, a player ran in from the parking lot, pulling on his jersey as he arrived at the pregame huddle. The annoyed coach asked, "Where the h311 have you been?"

"I got all messed up with the clocks," said the tardy player, whose excuse seemed to placate the coach a bit.

Well, there are three plausible possibilities:

1. The player forgot about the time change.
2. The player set his clock forward an hour.
3. The player set his clock back an hour.

In the first case, he should have been an hour early.
In the second case, he should have been two hours early.
In the third case, he should have been on time.

I thought about mentioning this to the coach, but the guy who was late was very large.

I am totally convinced that the network uses McCarver and Buck just to irrate everyone. I watched most of the game and then turned off the sound because I can't believe they are really as stupid as they sound.

"Pettit quick pitched a batter".???? You could fall asleep in between his pitches.

"Pettit is always borderline balking but they let him get away with it".??? Then they show his move to first and it was textbook for a left hander.

"That fastball was inside." That slider was down and away.

I could fill two pages. They JUST WON"T shutup.
