Gave Layne credit though last night......He basically told Scossia to tell his catcher to help Layne out so Layne could see pitches better or this is what you will get.

As for Layne being just plain good, I 100% agree with that opinion and statement.

Layne was one of our instructors at the MLB camp two years ago, and he's one of the best at that, too.

I thought both of his plays at the plate were great calls, and his adjusting to get a better look showed dedication and interest.
