Now we've gone too far.

Sure, just as with US beer, some Canadian beer isn't so good, but there are some damn fine Canadian brews that I'd take over any "commercial" label in the US.

Once again, I detail an event, and you turn it into some kind of judgment of something or someone. Follow closely now:

It is an account of an incident that is indicative of how such an offender is sometimes handled. I have stated no opinion about whether it's smart, stupid, right, wrong, good or bad.

Do you live in the real world? Do you understand crime and punishment, and more importantly, big-city crime and punishment?

Why would you risk seeming this naive to a public forum by asking this kind of question?

I don't know whether to laugh out loud or roll my eyes.

And where exactly did I say that you supported this beating? I must have missed that. Please don't be so quick to assume that every disagreement is a personal attack and to respond in kind.

You are another person who is far too quick to use the word attack. Can't you find another word in this vast and magnificent language to describe my reaction to your latest demonstration of obtuseness? When I feel "attacked," you'll know it.

I feel differed with. That's a long way from "attacked." Look up attack.

That was so you drunken Canucks could see the flag right-side up while layed out on the floor!

Check out a video made a couple of years ago with congressman and even Al Gore who don't know a lick about Canada!!
YouTube - Rick Mercer - Talking To Americans
Here's another one, some of which is with Harvard students and professors, talking about rediculous items and Americans don't even know the announcer is making fun of them:

It was a World Series. 1992.

I bet there are bone heads in every stadium, in every sport, and of every nationality.

I can't find the clip but what about where the fan through the bottle of beer at Milton Bradley( I believe in LA). Was he a moronic American?

I still think the title should just be "moron fan"

Where he's from, or where you think he may be from has no bearing on this matter.

Just your standard SFPD cops working overtime security details. Do you not have LAPD at Chavez Ravine?

That happened way back in 1989, and not until recent years did you ever see a armed, uniformed cop at Dodger Stadium. They had these plainclothes off-duty guys that were fairly easy to pick out (they were the guys with short hair and baggy camp shirts to hide their pieces).

Peter O'Malley didn't go for the uniformed cop look.

What does this have to do with umpiring?

When people share thoughts about baseball, there's a chance that it may not be about umpiring in particular.

We're talking about and joking about Canadians in a baseball setting. That's what is being joked about. That's all! And it's joking, and nothing more.

Canada came into baseball relatively late, and the general tone of the fan participation and behavior is rather unsophisticated. So take it and accept it. It's the way it is.

My only way to relate is when I hear those generalities about Californians. And I can't say that I care in the least when I hear those ignorant jokes and statements. I just laugh it off. ... Much like these fellow Southern Californians are laughing it off:
