And yet, they were major league umpires.

I watched that game when it happened. And I remember the home runs and Randy Lerch (pitchers for the Phillies) hitting one in the top of the first inning and getting shelled in the bottom of the first.

And yet I don't remember the umpires and don't really care who was working that game.

It's cool that they swung the bat and made it not matter so much. I recorded that game when it was on ESPN Classic, and I'm going to pick apart the umpiring the next time I watch it and see if there were any glaring blown calls.
