Bad night for 2b ump

Not sure of his name, but just saw the third missed call, where the korean runner broke his helmet on the ss leg. he had his hand in ahead of the tag. Third missed play at 2b. They were all very close though.

Ok, how did the Japan pitcher warm up in the bottom of ninth and then get replaced by Darvish, without facing the first batter??

Requirement to face one batter is only for the starting pitcher. In any case manager can just state "injury - hurt arm during warm up" to get around any requirement.

Relievers have to face one batter also.

Because he had already faced a batter in the eighth.
