Had a 14U and a forfeit tonight........(good thing for the forfeit........got to see my youngest play........grin)


Me PU.......Top 3rd inning........bases loaded and 2 outs.........V down by 1.........

Fairly hard hit ground ball right down the 3rd base line........nails agressive base runner from third on the knee...........close......but the ball hit her in Fair Territory.......

"Dead Ball".........runner out...........ouch......

Could have been a trouble hit and easily put the V ahead.........

Top of 5.........bases juiced........two outs.......SAME RUNNER ON THIRD from the previous play.........V still down by 1..........

Fly ball........about 5 feet foul..........F5 trips over the advancing R3 on her way to an easy catch for an out......

Another "Dead Ball"..........runner out.........ouch......

I felt her pain.........It was just NOT her night.......

I DID boo-boo on the out call on the Interference by R3 though.........

I told the scorekeeper that on this play the Batter was out.......(I was thinking about the new ASA rule on the ability to call both the runner and the BR out on this call and mistakenly informed the scorekeepter that the batter was out on this call............MY BAD.....(did this used to be an ASA rule......or maybe FED)??

Game ended shortly thereafter by time limit.......

Won't boot this one again.........grin

BTW..........I give myself the STINKIEST chest protector of the week award...........grin

I have called just about every night for the past couple of weeks......(high 80's for the last couple of weeks).........and have not FaBreeze'd my protector for a bit.............By the 2nd inning tonight.........I knew I had made a mistake..........whew.......

Carry a big big spray bottle of BREEZE, really works good.
Even the catchers say, "Man, you smell good blue!"
