It always amuses me how we obsess over some of the stupidest things. I'm guilty of it as well. Black out the white on your shoes, ball bag color, you're a dork if you wear a beanie behind the plate, no indicator in the field etc. I also do basketball and officials in that sport are no different. You'll be identified as a poor official if you wear belted pants, the wrong shoes, whatever. I'll admit it, I spend the extra money on beltless pants because I guess I'm a sheep too.
