I'm with you. A steady evolution of styles and colors is one thing but it's getting out of hand.

I placed an order with this company for the solid navy jacket and upgraded most of my equipment. I would recommend them, as they had everything in stock and shipped quickly. The navy jacket is sharp.

I don't go anywhere else. Plus, they have a store where you can come in and try things on (for us local guys).

As piaa_ump can attest to, there's a great staff there that knows officiating, especially baseball.

I would love to be able to saunter into an umpire supply store and try stuff out. Believe it or not, in an area the size and scope of Los Angeles, there is only one umpire supplier in the entire area, other than Honig's, where you can go and see and try stuff on, and he's 40 miles away. And Honig's is almost as far as Disneyland. (To an umpire gear junkie, a Honig's warehouse is better than Disneyland.) The other guy--Ralph at SOS Sports--operates his small supply biz out of his townhouse and adjacent garage. You literally try out the stuff in one of his spare bedrooms.

But the roll-of-the-dice Internet ordering is the way we have to go most of the time. So when you find reputable guys, it helps a lot.
