cardinalfan... why this name? I assumed that is was in reference to St. Louis Cardinals, thus Missouri was the state you reffed. My bad.

Are you a Missouri Ref? If so, the mercy rule is running clock 30+ lead. If it goes under 30 then clock will stop. Also I would not omit that you just let the clock run for the 3rd quarter when there is no rule to support this. If Mark Probst was your partner, thenhe should know better.

Our mercy rule is running clock in the 4th quarter when a team has a 30 point lead. If the lead goes back under 30, we do not revert back to stopping the clock.

Came out after the break and both coaches were waiting for us. They asked if we could run the clock the entire second half. SURE!!! Luckily one of my partners was our assignor, who is also our area's state rep.
