Pre-Game Stretching and Warmup

Is this part of your pre-game ritual?

A few standing calf stretches and hamstring stretches. If I'm not on the field, then possibly some arm stretches especially if I'm PU. Especially important for those weekend tournaments.

New Season

6 months of rust under my belt.
I expect my neck and legs to be very sore after the first scrimages.
The problems really don't begin until the next morning.
Is there a favorite morning after pill for muscle fatigue?
A) Aleve, B) Motrin, C) Tylonol, D) Other

Stretching? No. Just a quick pre-game shot of bourbon to calm the ol' nerves.

Then you need to work out during the off-season.

I'm sure there is a favorite. What it is, I don't know.

I prefer either aspirin or generic ibuprofen.

if you have a gym membership, firing up a few sets of squats to get the quads and hammies in condition for plate work may not be a bad idea...along w/ the lower back. Those are some early season pressure points if you feel like you're out of shape.

Maybe do a couple of bongs. That can loosen the muscles. Look at Phelps.

Just took 3 aleve to help with the pain from last saturday's scrimmage. A little bike riding later will also help. But at 59 it still hurts just as much as it did at 39 & 49.

Thank you for posting that. Because at 51, it seems to hurt no more than 41, and I hope I keep it up until your point and beyond. Stay at it.

I guess you have to wait a half hour, like eating a hot dog. Live and learn, I guess.
