Pete,
Good question. I don't believe I have ever made a FYC in a game. To me, it's kind of an "advanced" umpiring technique - and I'm still kind of new to this stuff. I can think of one player who was sure I had, but I hadn't. I can think of another player who was sure I would, but I didn't. I'm not opposed to it if the circumstances call for it - and the practitioner knows what he's doing. JM
