Surely there are standards, but when it really comes down to it, if he/she didn't prefer the type of piece I played, it was judged much more harshly than if I played something in the genre they preferred. I'm sure gymnastics has much of that also. Thanks David |

Way OT, but interesting.
The main problem is that the IOC does not allow a judge to be from the same country as an athlete that is competing in the competition. So, you end up with a bunch of judges who are not the most qualified to be there. I can't imagine MLB saying umpires couldn't umpire which ever team their Dad used to take them to see when they were five
