Someone is the worst ump in the bigs. I have not seen him that many times so, I don't know if he is any good, or not. It looks like he got this call right, though.

I do know that he looks like an Asst Mgr at Burger King. One way to not be taken seriously is for him to keep looking like that. Sunglasses on the hat...Oy Vey.

I "hang" mine off my belt at the small of my back.

I would eat them before I would consider putting them on my hat.

Well, I always stuck them in my front pocket and hoped they didn't poke me in the nads.

I don't care for the preppy look of glasses on the hat. IMO it looks horsesh!t.

Pro umpires can run into the dressing room between innings and put their sunglasses away. Most of us don't have that option available.

Red face

I usually buy my gray Mr. Umpire Trousers from Honig's. They come equipped with pockets. I have found that I can put my sunglasses in my pocket if I do not want to wear them.

Now, I quit spending more than three bucks on sunglasses before Kevin Seitzer was the next George Brett...so, if they break in my pocket, no big deal. I also have never worn them behind the plate.

The President of the Fred Kendall Fan Club asked me to elaborate on my sunglasses habits so, I have obliged.

PS REI...why not put the sunglasses in your ball bag-that way they will be handy whether you are at the dish or on the bases?

Gee, first Nate Colbert and then Fred Kendall...Mr. Peabody and Sherman must have set the Wayback Machine for 1969 or 70.

Randy Jones and Steve Arlin were my guys!

That someone isn't Drake. It is C.B. Bucknor. I've worked with an umpire whose son umpired in the big leagues. He said C.B. is among the worst he's ever worked with.

Any particular reason or just jumping on the SI player poll's bandwagon?

I have a hard time imagining an umpire could make it to the show and be "among the worst" any particular umpire has ever worked with.
