True! I have to say that a few guys did actually care more about the PU's well being than the game. PU did decide to finish the game and I encouraged him to get of out Dodge quickly!

Wow, what was he doing? Guess he thought 3BLXT meant either side of HP?
Probably a good thing he wasn't around to make a call, who know's what thata been like; "Dead ball, that's U int and obs. (one hand over head one straight out), DO OVER"?

Hope he's okay and comes back with a bit of sense knocked into him.

Far as call of time in your OP, sounds okay to me:
5.10 The ball becomes dead when an umpire calls “Time.” The umpire-in-chief shall call “Time”—
(b) When light failure makes it difficult or impossible for the umpires to follow the play; "sounds like his lights were definetly out" sorry bout that...
Or more realistically:
(c) When an accident incapacitates a player or an umpire;

What happened to the ball? Did F2 catch it?

Did you require a doctor's note before allowing the PU to return to the game?

Home team protests the game.
On what grounds?

BTW: R3 did not maliciously run over the catcher.
But did he maliciously run over the PU!?
