Houston Area Umpiring
It looks like there is a good chance I will be relocating to Houston sometime next year. Fortunately it seems there is plenty of good baseball down there.
I am looking for some recommendations for umpire associations around the Sugar Land, Bellaire, and downtown Houston areas that cover older levels of baseball such as American Legion. I already know about and will be checking in with the Houston Chapter of TASO. I also have a few questions about TASO/UIL: Do they use straight NFHS rules or are there exceptions? What kind of mechanics does TASO use? Does TASO Baseball use the point system I've been hearing about in Football and basketball? On a somewhat off topic note, I've heard the traffic is bad there (as it is here). What is travel time like if I am coming from my work place in downtown Houston? Thanks!
