What the hell happened in the top of the third?
I was trying to do two things at once, so I might have missed something.
As I understand it, there was a sinking liner to center field.
The center fielder was running straight in and dove for the ball.
He got a glove on it, but it popped out as he hit the ground.
One umpire called no catch.
Coach from defensive team argued (mildly).
A pitch was thrown to the next batter.
AFTER the pitch, the other base umpire called it a catch.
Naturally, the coach from the offensive team was ejected for arguing (I don't blame him a bit.)
