The only problem with PDF is that you cannot cut and past when answering a thread as one could do utilizing the old format.

We recognize that many amateur and non-professional organizations play their games under
professional rules, and we are happy to make our rules available as widely as possible. It is
well to remember that specifications as to fields, equipment, etc., may be modified to meet
the needs of each group.

Copying and pasting using Acrobat Reader is possible, and easy.... if you have a recent version. You need at least V 7. Older versions did not allow one to copy text from PDFs.
