There's this new cutting edge technology out there now called a printer. You can actually take information that's inside the computer and print it onto paper. If you get the newer printer models, you can even make several copies at a time.

And you're planning on going to law school?

Here's a quick pre-law quiz:

My bad. I believed what you posted:

"edited to say... will sell copies for 5 plus s/h????"

I'm not a copyright attorney. I do not know what rights you have to reproduce an item that bears the warning that it may not be reproduced in any form. I'll take your word for it.

More convenient? Hardly. We buy a batch of them to easily distribute to guys who can carry them in their bag, glove department, or other small area and easily access them. Having them as 8.5 x 11 publications bound in a folder of a larger size is nice for at-home perusal, but not in the aforementioned situations.

Cheaper? Only if you don't have to pay for all those pages of paper, or did you not factor in the cost for paper and toner/ink used? At $4.00/book, we're not spending any more money than we would be spending had we tried to print 40-50 copies from MLB.com. Add to the mix the cost of one's time to print so many copies with so many reams of paper, and the cost is actually LESS for us to buy a batch of books.

You may be able to print a copy for personal use but if so it isn't because they put it in PDF or because they posted it, it's because of what the copyright laws allow. Putting it in PDF or posting it doesn't change the ownership rights.

Why yes you can, I'll have to get me one of them newfangled thangs.

It's refreshing to see that there are some people willing to openly admit to copyright violations. I don't mean to pick on you personally, I see this all the time. It's much like going 40 in a 35, much ado about nothing, in this relative sense. Frequently violated law, reproducing the OBRs.

The violation imnsho is that there is a copyright on the Nation's Game Rules.
