Hey all,

I beleive Fall Ball should be for practice and instruction for everyone involved, including umpires. It seems like a great time to iron out mechanics, timing, etc...

Pre-season scrimmages is best time to iron out mechanics, timing, etc., before working serious games.

Fall ball is the time to try something new, like a new stance, mechanic, etc.

For me, it was to get back on the field before working the plate in an adult league championship yesterday. It went well, but there's no evidence that working the fall ball helped or hindered me.
