Pro nine chest protector

Those of you that use this protector,is it ok for LL Majors and does it look bulky under your shirt?

What difference does that make?

Show me a CP that doesn't look bulky under your shirt. That's the point, man.....

Works great for me. About the bulk, what look are you going for? The slim look, the muscular look or the umpire look? Just wondering, it is there to protect you.

I was just observing that some plate umps on TV do not look like they have a protector on.I have seen some umps with protectors on and they look like they are wearing body armour.

The size of the shirt has as much to do with this as the type of protector.

Save your pennies, and get the best protection possible. Don't settle for what you can afford right now. I've had two twelve year olds throw at 81mph from 46 feet. Those will get your attention, plus get by the catchers more often. Buy good gear, and you will never, ever regret it.

It's fine for LL majors. Above that level, get a hard shell.

Not any bulkier than most hard shells...probably a little less so. I own both (Pro 9 and WV Gold) so feel like I can offer an informed opinion...
