Just watching oldtimers like Franz, Luciano, Lou DiMuro, Marty Springstead, and yes-even Joe Brinkman using that protector brings back some authenticity to the sport.

Whoopsie!! It was Nick Colosi working game two, not Dick Stello. Sorry Folks.

BTW, after Colosi balked Louie Tiant that sent Joe Morgan to second, the announcers were commenting on the differences between the AL and NL umpires. One statement that proved prophetic was how he (announcer) wished that the umpires were merged into one body.

And I'm sure Joe Morgan misinterpretted why he was sent to second, too.
