An Interesting Day
...to say the least.
Well yesterday (Thursday) I am scheduled to do a Jr. High baseball game in the afternoon (4:30p). My morning starts off well and is moving right along. Come about 1:30 I start getting sharp pains in my stomach. I tried to sleep it off but the pain was just too uncomfortable. So, 3:30 rolls around, I gather up my gear and head off for the game not feeling well at all. 4:00 comes and I'm gearing up to work the plate. Game goes fine although I felt completely horrible to say the least -- but somehow I got through it. I make it back to my apartment and try to get something to eat. Can't eat anything. So I lay back down and the pain keeps getting worse. To make a long story short, I had to have emergency surgery to remove my appendix last night. Things are ok now, as I am home recovering on this 3-day weekend. To say the least I am extremely lucky. Doc says I have to stay off the field for at least a week and a half. Gives me plenty of time to clean up the baseball equipment and bring out the basketball gear! |

Glad you're gonna be ok. That's a little scary. Make sure you take it easy for a while.
