sliding catch into DBT

F9 makes a sliding catch in foul territory. after catching the ball in live ball territory, his momentum carries him into dead ball territory. i believe that ncaa keeps this play live as F9 did not "lose body control" when he voluntarily slid to make the catch. is there any similar rule in OBR? or is the ball dead b/c F9 has fallen (slid) even though it was prior to entering DBT?
thanks.
