Since the 1970's most educated people have known how to refer to people of Asia or specific countries within Asia far more accurately and with sensitivity to their true ethnicity.

I think you are right about this Garth. I went down to the family room and flipped over the oriental rug. I was expecting to see "Made in China" on the tag. Guess what it said....."Made in Persia." How about that.

If I go east of Europe, I find...USA. And China. And your house.

Then why fan the flames, boyo?

On Topic, Who cares how MLB does it? Breaking a rule is breaking a rule. And Nomo never completely paused for a lengthy amount of time, his motion just slowed considerably.

Bzzzt, incorrect. I saw him stop with only his hands moving, several times, complete body freeze. I thought this was interesting, no call. Being in Milwaukee on the invite of a former college teammate, the HC at that time, I walked down the ramps, past security, to join up with my friend. Here comes the crew. Knowing that they had no idea who I was, I introduced myself including as an umpire. Bell PU, HIrschbeck, Froemming, ???. They didn't want to talk so "OK", never got to hear why no balk.
