They're(we, myself) are no different than any of the other fanboys pulling for their particular team in their particular sport. Some idiots automatically go into their conspiracy theories every time a close call goes against them. And if an official blows a call, then he is now the devil incarnate. And even if they can't remember what they had for breakfast, they'll remember that call until their dying day. They take it personally; they think that it was made with the sole purpose of pissing them off. Other fanboys(hopefully I'm in this group) see a blown call and they'll say "Damn, he missed that one." Well, maybe we might add a coupla of motherf***s if it happens at a critical time(:D) , but we don't call for a <i>jihad</i> against that particular umpire, referee, etc. We take it for what it is - a human being making a human mistake. We might discuss it, but we ain't gathering the pitchforks and firewood and heading for the castle. Mutter a l'il and let 'er go.

Iow, there's fanboys and there's fanboys. There is no Universal Fanboy.

Of course, the preceding doesn't apply to BoSox fans. They're all azzholes.

It's not about missed calls, but more about lack of hustle. If you're going to waddle around, and not move to get in a good position to make a call, you're going to be a target for abuse no matter what field you're on.

UMP 25 - just exactly when did I complain? I said Joe West doesn't set when he makes calls, and then continued to blame the loss on the PLAYERS, not the UMPIRES. I commented on some things that the umpires did wrong and right, and that ultimately it was the players who messed up the most.

Not sure what your deal is here...
