The pants are hell in real heat If you are working an entire day several games in abnormally high heat, for me - those compression pants were the worst. I was noticeably cooler when I stopped believing the BS that layering up in the heat makes you cooler and stopped wearing the compression pants.

Somewhere, some guy said "Hey, I'm going to invent skin tight compression pants and tell people that if they wear them under their normal clothes they will be cooler"

His buddy told him "No one is going to believe that, people have been wearing long johns in the winter a long time to keep you warm. Everyone knows more clothes = more hot"

"I'll put it on the label that it makes you cooler and draw an arrow showing them how it makes you cooler, they will buy it"

"It will never work"

But he was wrong, it did work.
You're drinking the Kool-Aid here. We don't insulate houses only in the winter then yank it out in the summer to make the house cooler. Proper layering will keep you cooler in the summer.

I don't disagree with the thought that these products can aid in cooling the human body (they do so by wicking the sweat away) but the analogy to insulation in a house is is a poor one. In the summer the house is cooled from the inside. The insulation keeps the cool air in the house.

that is if you choose to cool your house from the inside...my house stays plenty cool in the summer if I don't open the shades during peak sun...i also believe that insulation keeps cool air in...and warm air out...to a point of course...

For those who think layering or additional clothes make things hotter, consider why those who dwell in the desert wear layers of black and not white.

not totally sure...possibly religion? either way...if anybody knows how to stay "comfortable" in hot weather...that's the part of the globe you'd want to consult.

Nope, nothing to do with religion.
