NOTE: this is for football, and was posted in the football forum. I thought some of you hoops guys could offer opinions as well.

I'm looking for a microfiber shirt (not a micromesh) for football and my research tells me these two are the only suppliers of that type of shirt.

If you've worn both, which do you prefer and why? If you've worn one, talk about what you like and dislike. Do they run large/small? Long tails (very important -- at least, no short tails)? Do they hold up after repeated washings?

As I stated in the football forum,

Good luck attempting to get your order as Official's Choice has the worst customer service and support.

I don't have any OC, but I have both McDavid and Under Armour. I prefer, the UA to McDavid. I think that they have a great product and is very high quality. I have put my UA's through many, many washings and they are still in great condition. They show very little wear. They are a little pricier up front but I think they are cheaper in the long run due to durability. My McDavid's have not held up as well.

Are you talking undershirts or stripes?

I have the McDavid shirts in both. They're good shirts. Got them from Honigs.

They (as any microfiber shirt) require special handling...no dryer sheets.

I'm talking the striped shirts. Undergarments I have covered.

You are correct about special handling, but it means no fabric softner and (preferably) air dry. I wear only synthetic materials for anything physical, and have researched this are pretty extensively. I just wish there were more official's products made with this lighter weighted materials -- knickers, pants, etc.

Aggie,
I don't do football, but you're going to have just about as hard of a time getting people on this site to endorse Official's Choice as you would getting them to paint the end zone in Kyle field burnt orange!

Well..... I certainly wouldn't do business with the Official's Choice. No one seems to have very much luck with them, but you might. Basically, if Honig's has it, it's certainly your best bet (I believe they have the McDavid Intera).

I only view certain threads in basketball, so apparantly, I'm not aware of any problems with OC. Care to elaborate?
