If you are wearing Plate Shoes with a Metatarsal Plate, subtract one inch from your length measurement. (I read this on one of the supplier's web sites)

I made the mistake of not doing that with the very first set of Shin Guards, and they never fit right. They would always ride up and spin to one side. The second pair I bought were one inch shorter, and the sit perfect.
