Come on out, we're all severely under staffed and this is an exploding area especially in the Metro Atlanta Area. There are several excellent associations, it all depends on the part of town you live in, though I suggest us! Central Georgia Officials Association. We're smaller than some of the main groups and have more opportunity for good umpires. We also are devoid (something I was just thrilled to encounter) of the poisonous politics you can find at some of the others. That said, the high school ball is abundant and for the most part very good. There are many college programs at different levels, and the weather is typically great, though I've seen a lot of new people to the area wilt in the truly hot summer months. Look at the southside of town as opposed to the north, not as much traffic, lots of great baseball.
