I loved the one with Nolan Ryan pummeling Ventura. That one was always a classic!

There is a rule that limits the number of defensive players that can be involved in a rundown. There can only be 9 at TOP so 9 is the limit.

The reason the bullpens do not fight until they get to the infield is because
THAT IS THE RULE!!!!

No different than the guys on the ice...

They always get WAY more tough once the linesman grab them and effectively prevent them from getting killed.

"Hey ref, that was a checking shift".

Really?

"Yeah, coach was checking to see if I had my skates laced up"

Yep..... getting nine hits in a game off of Ryan should qualify Ventura
for the HOF.

Does that mean that it's OK to fight in the infield?

Just once I'd love to see them leave the outfield bullpen, start running, and way out in the outfield start fighting. Imagine one guy looking to his right while running, then undercutting an opposing player, then another player decks someone else. How fun that would be, huh?
