MLB Crew Assignments
Does anyone know where I can acquire a schedule for MLB umpire crews? I am interested in seeing a few games, but I want to make sure I know who the crews are before I go.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

MLB will not release umpiring schedules to the general public. The best thing for you to do is to call MLB's office in New York (number is on MLB.com) when you have a crew you want to watch and just ask them if that particular crew is working? They will answer yes or no. However, if the crew that you want is not there, MLB will not tell when they are coming to work.

Actually, it is a lot easier than all that. Crews work the 2-4 game series teams play. Most series start on Monday and Thursday, so on Tuesday and Friday, check the paper and find out who worked the games. They'll also work the rest of the series, giving you probably from 2-3 games remaining to see them.

Not to mention that some LEGAL sportsbooks will list the umpire crews (sometimes only the HP umpire) when listing the lines for games each morning. As far as getting advance notice, dont really know. This only helps on the morning of the game.
