You beat me to it. I don't understand how the 2nd guy committed the foul. It happened 40 seconds earlier. How baffling.

And BOTH fouls were committed on purpose WITH THE GAME TIED, but only the second one was called an intentional foul because the AZ player grabbed the back of his opponent's jersey while he was 65 feet away from the basket with less than a second remaining! What an idiot!!!

Wow, amazing! AU may hold the title for now, but, it's early in the year and I'm sure we'll have some others in the running.... We need to keep this Post updated during the seaon.

Having watched the Maryland Terps for many yrs, I'm sure they'll have a meltdown of biblical proportion sometime this season (i.e, a blown 10 point lead with 54.1 seconds left to Duke or once being outscored by 33 points after having a 22 point lead). They may not be single plays, but......youch! Seems to happen to them annually.

But, admittedly, this may be tough to top!

AU is American University. U of A is the University of Arizona.

On a related note, I give those officials credit for calling the foul so quickly and being alert. I think I would have been so confused as to what the hell Arizona was doing, and I don't really know what I would have done in that situation. I guess I know now to expect the unexpected, even more than before!
