I am already a basketball official and I am thinking about doing volleyball next year. Is it hard to pick up? I know a little volleyball but not a whole lot.

Also, I don't want to be one of those officials who doesn't know a thing about it but is still doing it anyway. So if it is easy to learn, then I will pick it up. If not, then I will leave it be.

I am also a basketball official that decided to pick up vb 2 years ago, my partner also picked it up this year. It is NOT a hard sport to officiate. I think the hardest thing about it is judgement and staying awake, not zoning out. What area are you in? Coaches and players, from my expierence, are more mellow than they are in basketball. I would go for it, if you wish, i have some literature that will help you, E-mail me and i will send it to you. Good luck, we need more good vb officials
