A first for me

A couple days ago at a USAV event, I'm on the stand and I look at the libero as he enters the court for the first time and there's something dark hanging over the neckline of his jersey. I couldn't tell what it was, but in the moment, I thought it was a charm or something on a necklace that got caught on his jersey.

After a couple plays, I notice that it's still there. . . in the exact same spot. So I give a quick whistle and call the captain over and ask him, "What's on your lib's jersey?" The captain (kind of sheepishly) says, "Oh, it's a microphone".

I told him to ask the lib to remove it, and before he can turn around to talk to the kid, I see the lib walking to the bench and unhooking it from the jersey. No idea why he was recording, but I just thought it was a funny first for me.

You'll get people wanting to record stuff for their social medias. Sometimes they forget that it's on, and sometimes they leave it on thinking they'll get content during the match. Glad he took it off.
