What's the record?
Anybody know the record for the most successful challenges in a match? I just watched a match that I think might've broken the record.
I'm not going to say which match, because I don't want to call out a particular crew or official. But the LJs both really struggled in this match. Both coaches were visibly frustrated with touch/no-touch calls, as well a couple in/out calls. So without bashing anyone, can we discuss how an R1 should handle a situation like this? Let's say that it's obvious that your LJs are having an off-night. Do you continue to accept their calls as if they're doing fine? Are you a little more willing to over-rule them? Do these answers change if you're using CRS? (I have never worked a match with CRS as R1/R2.) So if you know that you can go to CRS, do you just accept what they call and let the coaches review if they want? As I said, I've never had access to CRS. So if it becomes obvious that the LJs are struggling, should I just always go with my own judgment and just use the LJs when I'm really not sure? I never really thought about this before tonight, but it feels like a kind of important topic. |
