If I recall correctly, the high school fees in New York were set by the Sections and was based on teacher salaries in the Section. As teacher's pay rose, so did fees. Looks like there is not such format here in Florida.

Yes, each section sets the fees, but there is no set basis, as the section and the officials each have a negotiator, and they hash it out. A rep from each sport has to approve its part of the contract before the whole thing goes into effect The baseball guys actually held up a contract because they did NOT want parity with softball people.

Baseball didn't hold it up. It was something that got approved after negotiations were pretty much final. But it is true that we no longer base increases on the teachers' contract. They still do that in NYC though.
