ASA vs. IFA/VTD

I've done plenty of ASA & Fed but no VTD yet. I'll be working a IFA/VTD world series in a few weeks and have a question: Are there any rules differences between ASA and VTD? If yes, does anyone have a list or summary of those differences? I have a IFA/VTD rule book but don't want to read the whole thing.
Thanks.

No idea what VTD is, but all rule books are different.
Not much of a championship ("world series"? ) if no clinic.
Do they have a web site that might list differences, at least vs. NFHS?
How about a friend?

VTD is the company which used to be ASA registration partner. I believe it is an acronym for Virtual Tournament Director.

A few years ago, ASA decided VERY prematurely to take the task in-house leaving VTD out in the cold, so they basically just started their own sanctioning body to piss-off ASA. I understand they do well in some areas, not in others.

But my question here would be how can there be a world series when there is barely a regional presence and how does an umpire get such a plum ( ) assignment having never worked one of their games?

Actually, according to their web site, the correct name is "Texas World Series".

That should explain everything, Mike!

They have a PDF rule bookhttp://gnswebsvcs.com/ifa/files/2012...d-11-20-12.pdf anything not covered in this book then the NCAA rule book will be used.

I worked 1 event for them and will never work another.

The local UIC is a TOOL. gets anyone to umpire even if they have no background for the rules. Game fees where stated never less than $35 a game with most being $40 a game. First tournament out the gate canceled. Then when we actually worked the fee was $30 a game. Quite a few checks bounced from that tournament.
