Silly Question of the Day...

Possibly the year

The problem is when I come up from the slot, my pant legs are getting "stuck" in the top of my shin guards.

It's a fairly recent issue. My pants are in decent shape. I take care of them.

It's a chronic issue. I'm tired of adjusting my pant legs after every pitch.

I've tried adjusting my straps, hasn't helped much at all.

If anybody here has ANY suggestions, I'm willing to try.

PANTS- Are you wearing a pair of plate pants or plate/base combo pants?

SHIN GUARDS- Depending on the style and make, are they too big for the plate pants you're wearing?

If the pants are too tight up in the thigh area, yeah they'll get caught on your shin guards. Purchase a pair one size larger than what's normal for you, and take them to a tailor along with your shin guards and plate shoes and have them altered.

I find myself being aware of the possibility of binding, or stressing the fabric or seams of the pants, even on the way down.

So just before I drop, I eliminate any slack by slightly pulling up the pant legs, so the easily slide over the shin guards.

You may want to check the tightness of straps on the shin guards.
