Silly Question

My wife and I were watching Brewers/giants last night when Hall hit his three run shot. My wife then asks what would happen if he had a heart attack at 2B ? Would the brewers still get his run even though he couldn't complete his baserunning ? It's hot and she obviously was bored enough to come up with that one so what say you ?

Yes, runner would be replaced + all the runs would score, barring an appeal play. See 5.10(c)(1).

I don't think it's a silly question.

Thumbs up Hey, Thanks Ace

I found this post very informative. I look forward to reading through the "baseball rules corner" which contains 332 well-written articles. A quick survey on baseball rules alone found about 2000 articles. Looks like you opened the door to some very good reading material. Time will tell, thanks again.
