If the spectator interferes with a fielder's opportunity to catch a fly ball, the batter is out, others placed where the umpire judges they would have reached. (ASA 8-2N) If the spectator interferes with a fair batted or thrown ball, the ball is dead and runners placed where the umpires judges they would have reached. (ASA 8-5L)
