Maybe not actual game assignments, but a post on the college softball board seems accurate. HERE How it got there doesn't seem right.

Agree.
The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

People who think they know the game of softball and all the rules since they have been watching games since their daughter was 6 yo. There are a handful that will try to understand, but are outnumbered by the ignorant.

You can quote a rule to them and you will still be wrong because, according to many of them, umpires are all of the same cut and will say anything to cover for another umpire.

Used to try and explain some things to them, but it was a waste of time

What are the odds that we see one (or more) of the crew from the Austin Super-Regional?

None. The umpires selected to work the CWS for a given year do not work the Super Regionals they work only through the Regionals.

FWIW, that list is very credible.

Not that anyone cares, but I think 3 of the 6 are absolutely among the best, 1 not sure (haven't seen in a few years), and 2 greatly overrated.

I agree. I just wonder if we are talking about the same three.

The lists for the Super regionals were 100% correct. Can't imagine that the WCWS list would be wrong. I asked the same question about the posting when I saw it, how ans where the info came from.

Interesting response.

It always amazes me how people feel the need to "tell" everything they hear to others when there is no need. I'm have little doubt there is a valid reason assignments are not released early and as a matter of fact, it really isn't anyone else's business why. The only people who really need that info are the umpires who have been assigned.

It seems everybody thinks their nickname is "Scoop" and there is some special importance or dignity attached to revealing yet to be publicized information.

Yes, interesting indeed.
