Well, it didn't take long. Gary and Nancy McGriff shut down the idiots' ability to be vulgar and insulting, so now they have taken up hijacking my name. Sam Carter also has a predator who has decided to hijack his handle, SamNVa.

WTF is the matter with people who are not happy unless they are creating a problem for someone else. It is really a shame as McGriffs was making a great comeback with the discussion of softball umpiring.

I agree Mike. I just hope that we've both been there long enough that the regulars will be able to tell the genuine article from the fraud.

Okay, an update on McGriffs. Apparently Mr. or Mrs. Big Daddy Baker has laid claim to the entire ruse.

I have enough going on without playing these silly games. If you see a post on McGriffs with my name or e-mail attached, you can rest assured that it isn't from me.

Thanks,

What can I say, Mick? I cannot afford having others offering words under my name.

As I stated before, anyone on that board which has a serious softball question, I'll be more than happy to respond.

The same goes for me too. I can take the heat for making a few typos in my posts, but I will not let some moron make statements in my name. From now on, I will be posting on McGriffs as Jason A. Any posts with the handle of SamNVa will not be from me.

Hey Mike:

You could always post under the name Big Daddy Baker, or better yet, Big Mama Baker. Maybe even lend a little civility to the Baker name.

I really hate to see legitimate posters be chased away from a board that has been a help to many people in the years past.

By the way, what is the percieved wrong that BDB thinks you did to him anyway?

Having been through all of the crap from the time BDB showed up, as near as I can tell, he started picking on Mike because Mike was recognized by the board as the expert he is - IOW, trying to troll by picking on the top dog. JMO, anyway.

The McGriffs have provided a valuable resource to the officiating community for many years. However, magic software will not restore the board, unless they are willing to go to a fully registered member system, such as here. And even this system is not perfect, as we have seen from time to time.

They need (IMO) to set up a few board monitors, at least for several months, until all the trolls give up and go elsewhere.

Angry

Y'all know what happened to me over on McGriff's and personally, I don't miss that board at all. After BDB, AB, and some other trolls kept popping off, AND the porno ads,
etc., etc., I'd had enough anyway. I did email Ed and Dan
(S.C. Ump) and gave them this URL, but I've not seen them on here at all.
I have really enjoyed all of you; I feel like you're personal friends, but I really miss Ed, Dan and some others.

See what y'all can do to move the desirables over here! By the way, DD Renee was booted off her team. I really don't want to re-tell the story, but it's posted over on the Fast Pitch Forum under 'Just My Opinion', then 'Coaches, Your Opinion Requested Please' for those that are interested.
I'm afraid she's going to quit playing---
I really miss the games!!!!

I been over here a few times, even kept the same name (SC Ump). It has been a busy season. Last night I did my last high school game of the year. It was the first of a three game series for the state AAA championship. The other two games are being played in a different part of the state.

Nancy stated she won't have admin like we have here, too much "personal" conflict. What may be "unacceptable to some, may not be for others", quote. I get hammered bout every time I post on Mg's, so what, ignore it. Don't give rise to the idiots.
I admit, sometimes I will pop off on a jerk-off and use words"I do not use on the field", but that's just me. I don't take insults very well........

Yes, I know that is their position. Whatever, it's their board, but I won't be a very frequent contributor over there any more (or reader for that matter) until they do what is necessary to clean it up. I tried the "don't feed the trolls" route and the "just don't read their posts' route and the "let it roll off the back" route, but it just got too tiring.

Dan,

I'm glad to hear from you on this board!! I've missed you!
Now, if we can only get Ed over here as I really miss his AA stories. They cracked me up every time!!

Lets take it back

We can do it. I know we can. Together we can push out this Big Daddy Baker fella and regain the control. SamNVa and Mike Rowe you have a lot of thought on the rules matters. Can't we make them just disappear?
